I was 14 and I had seen Cake boss on TLC tv one to many times. The local fair was coming up and I decided I would enter my own cake into the fair, it couldn't be that hard right? Well it wasn't hard but it was no walk in the park. I decided I was going to do a naked cake using the chocolate recipe my step dad had used a few years prior. I filled it with white icing and decorated it with plastic flowers. In the end the cake leaned to the left ever so slightly but I was proud. It won second place in my category that year and I decided from then on forward I wanted to be a cake decorator.
